This project is in memory of the children and teachers who lost their lives when a school in Peshawar, Pakistan was attacked by terrorists on December 16, 2014.

In response to this horrific and universal tragedy, we pledge to build 141 schools across Pakistan - one in the name of each life lost.

We renew our resolve to fighting ignorance and intolerance in all its forms with the most powerful weapon of all: education.

We call upon concerned people across the world to step forward to support the movement to educate Pakistan.

Your support will serve as a beacon of light resisting the advance of extremism in the world.

The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a professionally managed, non-profit organization set up in 1995 by a group of citizens concerned with the dismal state of education in Pakistan. It is now one of Pakistan's leading organizations in the field of formal education. As of 2015, TCF has established 1060 purpose-built school units nationwide with an enrolment of 165,000 students. TCF encourages female enrolment and strives to maintain a 50% female ratio in most of its campuses. TCF has a full female faculty of 8,900 members and a dedicated teacher training centre.
